The government aims to provide benefits of this scheme to women associated with 15,000 self-help groups.
What is the Namo Drone Didi Scheme?
Under this scheme, women members of self-help groups (SHGs) will be trained as drone pilots. Then after completing the training, they will get a subsidy to purchase drones. These women, called “drone didis”, will use their drones for agricultural purposes, such as spraying pesticides in fields, applying fertilizers, sowing seeds, and monitoring crops.
